We will be participating in The Great American River Clean Up (GARCU)! GARCU is the American River Parkway Foundation’s largest annual clean up on the 3rd Saturday in September (9/18/2021), hosted in conjunction with the California Coastal Commission’s Coastal Cleanup Day. Volunteers across the state of California come together to remove trash and debris from the state’s waterways. We will be cleaning up Sutter’s Landing and meeting at 20 28th Street at 9AM.
What to wear: sturdy/comfortable closed-toe shoes, hat, long pants, long-sleeves, gloves, sunscreen, and bug spray.
What to bring: Water! Take breaks & learn the signs of heat exhaustion.
