Emily Dutch
EMERGE Summit Chair
After moving to Sacramento in 2009 to work for Drexel University, Emily joined Metro EDGE as a way to meet new people and get involved in the region. After attending many of the great functions the EDGE puts on throughout the year, she joined the Professional Development committee in early 2012 to increase her involvement in the organization. Originally from the East Coast, Emily moved to California to attend University of the Pacific where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She has continued her education by earning a Master’s degree in Higher Education and is currently completing her Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership and Management at Drexel University. She is the Associate Director of Student Affairs for Drexel University Sacramento where she oversees programming and campus activities for students and alumni across all programs at the campus. Emily is a Senior Fellow of the Nehemiah Emerging Leaders Program and was a 2012 recipient of the Sacramento Business Journal’s 40 under 40 award. She also serves as a Board member for the Sacramento Youth Symphony and for the Sacramento LGBT Community Center. She also serves on the Community Relations Committee for City Year Sacramento. In her free time Emily can be found checking out new restaurants around town, taking her dogs to the park, or planning the next great vacation to take with her husband, Andy.
