Education:
I have a degree in Communication from UC Santa Barbara. I also went to the Danish School of Journalism in Aarhus, Denmark as part of an international journalism program.
1. Tell us about your work history. I worked at KP Public Affairs for almost five years. I work with a variety of clients to represent their issues in the public affairs and public relations domain. I provide strategic counsel, media relations, coalition building, grassroots and community outreach and overall issue management. I work on projects related to new development siting, business challenges based on political issues in local or state government, and other public relations activities.
2. What is the best part of your job? I love the fact that I get to work on so many diverse clients and projects. I’m always learning about new issues and industries, and developing new strategies and programs to fit the situation. No day is the same and no project is the same. I have to stay on my toes, but I enjoy learning new things and always meeting new people throughout the state.
3. What is one thing that might surprise people about you? I melt down into an irrational basket case when I’m near spiders.
4. What do you love about living here? I love the growing social scene – with so many great new restaurants and bars. Sacramento has an awesome and active young professional population – so it’s a great place to live, learn, and thrive.
5. When you aren't in the office where can we find you? I’m always at the office! But when I’m taking a break – you can find me on the kickball field – or out hiking, wine tasting, skiing or just trying to soak in the fresh air and sunshine.
