The Metro EDGE Leadership Council consists of young leaders who represent various business, nonprofit, and government sectors. We are committed to stimulating innovation, providing a platform for meaningful conversation within our region, and contributing to our community as business and civic leaders. Benefits of Serving on the EDGE Leadership Council:
- Being a part of the Leadership Council gives you access to the people solving some of our region’s toughest and most important issues.
- The people on the Leadership Council are viewed as regional leaders and problem solvers.
- Being on the Leadership Council gives you the chance to show your expertise, steer important conversations, and bring about real change.
- The Leadership Council challenges each other to think and act with multiple perspectives and opportunities in mind.
- Being on the Leadership Council is a substantial resume booster. You'll gain valuable leadership experience by learning how to manage volunteers and lead strategic committee meetings.
- By being part of the Leadership Council, you'll build relationships with other young leaders in the Sacramento region, grow your network, and make new friends.
Leadership Council Applications:
- Eligibility: interested candidates must be a current member of Metro EDGE and are expected to maintain membership during their entire term.
- Commitment: Committee Chairs are expected to serve at minimum a 1-year term. Committee Vice Chairs are suggested to serve a 2-year term with the second year serving as the Committee Chair.
