Where do you currently work, how long have you been there, what do you do?
Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD). I have worked there for three years and 15 days. I work in community relations- specifically sponsorships, major events, and building community partnerships.
What is your educational background?
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a Master of Public Administration.
What is the best part of your job?
Working with an amazing team and community leaders whom are inspired to make Sacramento even better than it already is.
What do you love about living in Sacramento?
I love that Sacramento is a place that I can afford to have an excellent quality of life- good job, nice home, great schools, and the people are awesome, too! I also love that Sacramento is a city on the rise! It is so much fun watching it transform and develop its own unique culture.
What is one thing that might surprise people about you?
I became a single mom at 23 when I adopted my then 18-month old niece.
When you aren't in the office, where can we find you?
Either being a homebody with my small but beautiful family that includes two dogs and a cat, or on an outdoor adventure. I love the city but look forward to my time in nature- snowboarding, camping, hiking, etc.
