Give Back :: 20th Annual Run to Feed the Hungry

Thanksgiving Morning - Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013 — Rain or Shine!

Tie up those laces and join EDGE & our friends with the Nehemiah Emerging Leaders Program (NELP) at the 20^th Annual Run to Feed the Hungry this Thanksgiving! One of Sacramento’s greatest family traditions, all proceeds will benefit the Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services to support families in need in our community.

The race starts on "J" Street just West of the entrance to the Sacramento State campus and runs through the beautiful tree lined streets of East Sacramento.

And, don't miss the opportunity to get your mug in the YP photo. We’ll meet in front of the giant inflatable Turkey at the J St. entrance to Sacramento State at 8:15a sharp!

Run to Feed the Hungry Registration

It’s not too late to register! Follow the online instructions below to join the NELP team (10K - 8:35 a.m.; 5K - 9:00 a.m.):

1. Go to http://www.RunToFeedTheHungry.com by 11/20/13 (midnight)
2. Click the TEAMS tab on the top header and read about the team program
3. Click the REGISTER NOW button on the left-hand side of the page
4. Click the bright green REGISTRATION button
5. Fill out the registration form pages one by one online
6. Start with choosing - I’m On A TEAM - $50
7. Enter your name, birthdate and gender
8. Select team NELP from the drop down menu list

How To Get There

Parking can be difficult, plan ahead! Or, go green and ride your bike to the start line.  There are several bike racks near the Starbuck's at 56th & H Street.
